Entre 1922 y 1925 continuó grabando en Víctor, y luego, al pasar al sello Odeón, protagoniza un hecho histórico: acompaña a Carlos Gardel en dos registros, los de los tangos "Perdón viejita" (del propio Fresedo) y "Fea". El sistema de grabación es aún el acústico.
